My children love to take out their toys and pretend to be a mail carrier, baker, doctor, or astronaut. This week they’re putting up their name plates so that they can work in their ‘office’ while doing their school work. Even I’m getting in the game with my name plate up on the desk as I type so the children know I’m ‘at work’.
Pretend play is the way in which children learn about the world around them and try out new scenerios to see what works for them. I loved the pretend play ideas submitted last week, and you can see them highlighted below.

Teaching Mama has a vet clinic in her home this week! I hope all the animals are soon back to good health. If you’d like to try this, she also has a free printable for you to download.
What Happens At Grandma’s has made this fun and educational pennywise school play set. It’s better than our home school set-up! I wonder if we can go to Grandma’s to play!
