Back before Halloween I was browsing in a local Charity shop and saw some snowball garland in its original packaging. I thought it would look awful just hanging, but thought I could probably do something with it come winter. So far we have completed two projects.
For our 3D snowman I cut a few of the ‘snowballs’ from the string. Tristan chose some cardstock of his liking (orange on this particular day), and I pulled out a few other little goodies from one of our craft boxes.
Tristan glued the snowballs to the cardstock.
Next he chose some colourful mini pompoms to glue on as buttons, eyes and nose and mouth.
He used a pipe cleaner cut into quarters for the arms, and a piece of yarn for a scarf.
Add a little bit of cotton ball fuzz for snow cover on the ground and a mini muffin case for a hat.
Voila! We have our own indoor snowman as the weather outside isn’t cold enough for snow, much to the children’s disappointment.
