I have been so embarrassed this past week. We’re doing a little moving around of furniture; putting a dresser in the kids’ room and moving their wardrobe into their closet to use it for the shelving. Of course, in my grand way of doing things, I’ve moved everything from their room, their wardrobe, closet, dresser, the kitchen cupboard where some school supplies are kept, everything from the top of the other dressers, the kitchen counters, etc., etc., all into the living room.
What a mess!!! My mother-in-law only saw the start of it all and she wasn’t impressed. Then another friend stopped by this week and saw the ‘work in progress’. It’s taking a while to sort through as we’ve been busy out of the house all week with a biodiversity summer school and village festival events. The main things are done and the kids’ room is looking fine, but now we’re down to finding homes for all the little random bits and pieces. I hope to finish up in the next couple of days…so I’ve had a lot of fun procrastinating and gathering ideas from last week’s Mom’s Library and I’ve rounded up some of my favourite home organisation ideas to feature this week.
If you missed last week’s round-up, I featured Bags of Fun have a look through and be inspired! This resource for Moms is packed full of parenting tips, activities for children, crafts, recipes and more!
