Christmas is filled with temptations of the unhealthy kind. It’s hard to keep children (and even us adults) interested in making healthy choices during this season of indulgence. Fora light lunch, give our Angel Wrap Lunch a try!
For our angel, we used half a tortilla wrap folded into a cone shape. Celery turned into legs, and lettuce turned into wings.
A radish made a nice head, which was topped with a cheese string halo and cream cheese facial features.
It took only moments to prepare, and it was devoured almost as quickly!
One thing I like about this meal is that it can be changed to suit different tastes or dietary requirements, or simply with what is in your fridge. A cherry tomato head and carrot or bell pepper legs will work for us next time.
This would be a great meal or snack to go along with a Christmas book, or a book about angels. It would also be fun to make these as a Christmas party food as a healthy alternative to cocktail sausages and chicken wings.
