Kids LOVE cookies! And so do we adults, of course. With back-to-school (or work) lunches soon making an appearance, adding a special little treat now and again to a healthy lunch box is a lovely surprise. Today I’m sharing our banana chocolate chip recipe with you. These little bites are light and fluffy and have been described as little muffin cookies!

- ½ tsp Salt
- ¼ tsp Baking Soda
- 1 C Margarine
- 2 Eggs
- 1 C Sugar

- 1 C Mashed ripe banana
How to Make Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

4) Stir in the chocolate chips and banana.
5) Drop the cookie dough onto greased cookie sheets.
6) Bake at 400C for 12-15 minutes.
Now that your family have tried these moist and delicious banana chocolate chip cookies they’ll be asking for them over and over again! They’re one of our top-requested treats. Good thing they are easy to whip up and they even make use of that bruised and over-ripe banana that’s been travelling back and forth in the lunch box all week!
If you like cookies, why don’t you try soft ginger cookies, triple chocolate chip cookies, or Grandma’s Jam Jams. And don’t forget to see our tempting treats page where we have our full collection of delicious naughtiness.

Bananas were made for chocolate, weren’t they? I have a few of these cookies tucked away in the freezer for when company comes unexpectedly…or maybe for a homeschooling mother-parent conference π
