Personally, I love the look and feel of real paper; I’m known as a bit of a correspondence junkie. However, with the costs of postage soaring, I’m finding that I can no longer send cards and letters as often as I used to do. Although email is quick, it doesn’t have the same personal touch that handwritten messages do.
BUT…
I think I’ve found a great way to please everyone!
What if you could send a card – complete with an envelope (with a liner) electronically?
And what if it was elegant and beautiful as well!
For big milestones like weddings and baby showers to smaller events like quiet birthdays and fundraising events at work, it can be fun to plan the details, right down to the invitations and thank you notes. I’ve recently come across Paperless Post and it’s perfect for creating beautiful cards, invitations, notepaper, and more.
Here are some of the card choices available:
- Best baby shower invitations
- Charity and fundraisers
- Lunar New Year
- Birthdays
- Weddings
- Thank you
- General greetings
- Design your own card or notepaper for a bespoke look
I love to send letters in the post, and how lovely would it be for the recipient to open an envelope with a personal message on a beautiful note card!
In addition to sending out some email cards, I’m also ordering up a batch of bespoke cards with the Castle View Academy theme on them. They will be so pretty with the addition of rose-gold foil stamping on them. I’m sure they’ll be hard to part with, but will work wonderfully as a thank you to vendors, a congratulations message to giveaway winners, or for anything else.
This week we’re beginning a big attic clear-out. First up was our boxes of baby clothes. From little neonatal clothes up to their current sizes, we went through everything. We’re only keeping a few things, and the rest we are donating. Going through those tiny little clothes for 5-pounders brought back so many memories of when they were still way too big for Tristan.
Although our family is complete, I’ve never experienced my own baby shower, but I have attended others back home in Canada. So for a little fun browsed through the baby shower invitations and there are some really beautiful ones in Paperless Post, the one above is my favourite. More bold than elegant, but it’s a great idea!

A fun one was guessing the mom’s belly circumference with toilet paper. The closest guess won.
These cards look lovely.

We have played the one where they smear the baby food in the newborn diapers and you have to guess them by color and smell several times. It is funny because it looks so much like real baby poo!

Guess what that thing is used for……….all the new fangled gadgets that most grandmas don’t know what to use….or the old fashioned ones that new moms don’t know!

That sounds hilarious!

Kind of gross, but chocolate bars were melted and put in a diaper. Everyone passed around each diaper, sniffing and examining the contents to figure out what the candy bar was. It was so disgusting, but we laughed our heads off.

What a great ice-breaker!

I’m trying to remember what games we played at my baby showers and have no memory of them! LOL! I think there was something about diapering with old school pins maybe? π
