We’re still enjoying the longest heatwave in seven years here in the UK. It’s fantastic to spend so much time feeling the sun on our skin. When we are looking for a little shade, or taking shelter from the thunderstorms this week, we move to our indoor tent. With this in mind, I am featuring a few food items for the campground this week; some for eating, some for playing. I have had lots of fun browsing through the whopping 126 fabulous ideas shared last week with Mom’s Library!

To see all of the great ideas submitted, be sure to check out last week’s Mom’s Library where I focused on summer sensory play.

Campground kitchen fun
Learn-Play-Imagine is having great and colourful fun with some kitchen staples:
Now that your morning activity is done, here’s one for the afternoon from DIY With Grant and Kiley.
Crystal & Co. have made some great-looking S’mores pops. I like that these can be made ahead of time.
And here’s another version of S’mores from Reading Confetti, but this time they are frozen and there are also some good camping books reviewed:
Keeping with the chocolate theme, Stuffed Veggies shares a recipe for breakfast ice cream!
And if you’d like something a little more traditional, but with a twist, try Mommynificent’s colourful oatmeal. A far cry from our packets we used while camping!
Life With Moore Babies is providing us with Trail Mix for between meals or activities.
While you’re out on the trail, be sure to forage some blackberries to make this upside-down cake from True Blue Baking.
If you’re getting a little thirsty now, try this Seafoam Punch from Sara Ella.

It almost makes me want to go camping! But I think the tent currently in our front room will have to do – and there’s no reason to go with all these ideas to make at home.

They are a great idea, aren’t they? I think we’ll have to try them out as well.
