It’s getting to be the time of year that we need to start thinking ahead and make a plan to help prevent the family from becoming ill. I’d love to hear your suggestions on this topic as well by leaving a comment at the bottom of this post. And if that fails, as it inevitably tends to do, you’ll also need a plan for keeping the kids busy when you’re the one who’s ill! Don’t be caught short of ideas this year, prep things ahead of time to lessen the stress (in fact, I’ve been working on this today).
If you missed last week’s round-up, I featured Autumn Leaf activities. Have a look through and be inspired! This resource for Moms is packed full of parenting tips, activities for children, crafts, recipes and more!
Germ Rescue
Clark And Luci Learn does the glitter germ hand washing activity to help her children learn more about health and wellness after reading the book, Madeline. I’ve often been tempted to try this with my own children, and it may just happen soon. What better time than when the house is covered in Christmas glitter?
And if the germs take Mom down, Teaching Mama has put together a Sick Mom Rescue Kit to keep the kiddos occupied without destroying the house. She’s even included some free printables for you!
I couldn’t help including the meme Teaching Mama has in her post, doesn’t it just ring true!
And if you’d like a few more ideas on the topic, earlier this year I shared 11 Flu Survival Tips With Kids, as well as 11 More Survival Tips
