Last winter I was seeing Lilla Rose flexi clips in my social media feeds and I loved the styles. Finally, I’m the proud owner of my very own Lilla Rose Pretty Hair flexi clip. Now I’m asking myself, why did I wait so long to get acquainted?
My hair is so straight and fine, it flies away in the lightest of breezes, it’s a far cry from the curly, thick hair that Irish girls are known for so I’ve had a very difficult time finding hair accessories in the 11 years that I’ve been here on the Emerald Isle. There are also 8 short tutorials on hair styles to use with the Lilla Rose flexi clips. I watched these videos a few times to make sure I made the right choice. The kids must have found them interesting as well, as Tristan knows the difference between a half up and a tails up, and Kallista likes me to put her hair in a half up twist. She doesn’t yet have enough hair for a Lilla Rose clip, but she’s well on her way to knowing how to use them!
After receiving my Lilla Rose Dream Catcher flexi clip in an extra small I discovered I have even less hair than I thought! The video says not to over-estimate how much hair you have, but I didn’t think I’d be comparable to a child! If this happens to you, you don’t have to worry. One thing I really like about Lilla Rose is their satisfaction policy. If you order the wrong size, you can make an exchange. It takes the worry out of ordering. I know I don’t like making a store purchase only to get home and have it sit in the drawer because I can’t use it.
I just went with the flow as I loved my Dream Catcher clip and didn’t want to part with it. I’d ordered the extra small size so that I could do the “half up” and so that it wouldn’t take so long for Kallista to grow into it. But this one will work better for me in the long run, especially with winter making its way here and I find I’m wearing my hair up more often. My Dream Catcher flexi clip arrived the day after my birthday and it goes perfectly with a sweater Phil gave me, so it was meant to be.
Once you have your size determined, the hardest part about ordering is making your final decision! There are so many absolutely beautiful Flexi Clips, Hairbands, Hair Sticks, the Flexi-Oh!, Bobby Pins, You-Pins, and even Badge Holders (I’d have been the talk of the building with one of these stylish pieces holding my id badge! I must have spent close to two hours going over everything and making my final decision. It was Tristan and I for one design, and Kallista and Phil cheering for the another one. In the end, Tristan and I won with the Dream Catcher. It is unique here, the colours are bright and cheerful, and I just can’t pass by anything that has ‘dangly bits’!
Now that I’ve been wearing my new Flexi Clip for a few weeks, what do I think about it?
Comfort: There aren’t any sharp or pokey bits. It’s smooth, sturdy, and very comfortable.
Look: It’s beautiful! It is exactly how it looks in the picture on the Lilla Rose Pretty Hair site.
Durability: It’s strong and sturdy. I may worry about the wires the dangling leaves are on getting bent, but even without them, the clip would be gorgeous.
Difficulty: It’s so easy to use! It wasn’t complicated at all! I was surprised that even me, the most clumsy of people didn’t have any trouble with it. It slides easily and holds well.
Speed: My package arrived within 4 days! I believe this was the fastest time any post from overseas has ever arrived!
Packaging: My Dream Catcher Flexi Clip was well-packaged and protected, even from our rainy Irish weather. It was carefully enclosed in a lovely little envelope within the main packet. A nice little touch.
Price: The price is comparable to to high street shops, but oh! The Lilla Rose Pretty Hair Choices!! And sizes!! There’s NO comparison!
