With the busy holiday season approaching all too fast, it’s time to start sending packages overseas (unless you’re more organised than me and they’re already sent), as well as placing on-line orders. It can be hard to keep track of which items you are waiting to receive in the post, as well as which packages have arrived at their destination. I used to try to keep track of all of this on little scraps of paper, emails cluttering up my inbox, or my ‘memory’. To help me keep everything together in one place, I’ve created a mail tracking organizer.
I keep copies of these in my household binder during off-peak times, but when the mail is flying in and out, I like to keep them in their own folder in a handy spot next to the desk so they can be within arm’s reach so I can fill in the information as soon as I place an order.
The Mail Tracking Organiser columns include:
- Date order was placed
- Date order was sent
- Estimated delivery date
- Date received
- Price – if you print a separate sheet for each person on your Christmas/birthday list, you can keep track of your budget here also!
- Company
- Items
- Comments
