The kids are always excited when they see this courier pull up in front of our house…they know there will be surprise treats inside! It’s hard to keep them focused on school work until we open the box together and discover what’s hiding inside.
We recently received our Autumn box from Degustabox (this post may contain affiliate links) by courier (we’ll soon be on a first-name basis with him), and there were lots of little goodies enclosed in our box. This month I thought we’d share a fun way to use the contents for a fun kids craft! Read tomorrow’s post to find out more about it…
Here are the items that we received in our October box, but keep in mind that the contents may vary – so if you order more than one box, they may be slightly different. More than one box, you say? Why not? Degustabox would make a good gift for someone who is not well or needs a little cheering up. A thank you for a neighbour or work colleague…the next time you’re looking for a unique gift, remember Degustabox (hint hint: Christmas is coming up faster than you want to admit)!

The total retail price of the items I received was £21.97, which isn’t too bad for the cost of £12.99 a month (with free delivery!), and of course, if you use the coupon code X2OEC you’ll get your first box for only £5.99! (For my lovely US Readers click here and use code HIP2SAVE for a 50% discount) You can’t beat that.
This month there were some great little ‘tricks’ to throw in my backpack for days on the move! The Beloved Date Fruit Hearts are pure and simple. Date pureed and mixed with a little natural flavour and pressed into a cute heart shape. They’ll calm that sweet tooth during the 3pm lull or give the kids a little energy for the walk home after school.
For those who prefer a little flavour to their water, there’s a pocket-sized Robinsons drink concentrate that will fit into the top drawer of a desk at work for handy access.

The big winner in this month’s box was the Yushoi Snapea Rice Sticks. How they brought back memories of life in Japan! I used to get a bag of a similar snack when I would go to the convenience shop to pay my electric bill. The kids always love anything with a Japanese flavour so there’s a bit of discussion going on about sharing these!
Phil’s birthday is coming up so if the cake is a flop we can always decorate up the Pitch Choco Bars as individual cakes!
And come back again tomorrow when we show you how we turned our Degustabox into a fun rainy-day craft!
