I have spent the past week trying to catch up on things around the house after it has been painted and everything is out of place. It will still take a little while yet, and I’m realising as organised as I usually am, I will need to try to set up some new systems over the summer. In light of this, I am focussing on ‘planning’ this week.

Planning picks
Jellibean Journals will soon be off to the hospital for an imminent arrival. Let’s learn how she is preparing with her hospital bag.
Once your family begins to grow, the kitchen table can become cluttered, let’s see what tips Around The Table has to keep the table clear and peaceful at mealtime.
As your children grow a little, they will need to learn how to spell. The Measured Mom has advice on how to help your children.
And if you’re a blogger, Pursuit of Functional Home has a free blog planner to help you organise that aspect of your life.

Thank you so much for featuring me this week! I believe family meals are so important. My oldest is 27 and all four are out of the house now. I do not regret for one minute that we had dinner together every night even though that meant lots of work for me.

It’s been my pleasure, Sharon. Meals are important, especially when the world goes so fast. It does seem like hard work, but in the end it’s less work than serving up separate meals at different times and cleaning up the mess from around the house where people would eat. It means that there is at least one time every day for everyone to bond. Way to go, Sharon!

I know the feeling! I’ve always wanted to make my own, but I don’t have the organised time to do it 🙂
