What does Spiderman eat? A Spidey snack, of course!

Yesterday Tristan decided out of the blue that he wanted to put on his Spiderman costume for the first time in months and months. I was happy to see him getting some use out of it and enjoying himself over the course of the morning with the girls.
It was a rainy day outdoors so we stayed in and did some arts and crafts instead. When snack time came and I was hunting in the cupboard for something appropriate (I’ve become stuck in a bit of a rut lately), I came up with the idea for a Spidey snack. It was the perfect match for a little boy wearing his Spiderman costume!
As you can see, it’s quite simple. I used an oatcake for the body, a dried apricot for the head, and two raisins for the eyes. Tristan had to use some math for the legs when I gave him four pretzel sticks and he had to figure out how to make them into eight legs. I think it turned out pretty well! Tristan looks very pleased with his Spiderman snack as well. All crime-fighters need healthy food to refuel.
Tristan was very impressed with his snack, and tonight after he was in bed he called out “Thank you for my Spider Snack yesterday!” Life is good when you can please a four-year-old!
Are you looking for more themed snacks? We’ve made Hickory Dickory Clock, Ants on a mossy log, and a camera to capture the action.
