I’m pleased to share with you my third feature with Kids Activities Blog has been posted! It’s a part of their 10 Things To Do With Kids In… series. For my third contribution I have shared my Toyama Top 10, some of my favourite things to do in Toyama City, Japan and the surrounding area.

I lived in Toyama city for a year while teaching English to children aged 3 to 16. Luckily for them, I was a better teacher of English than I was a student of Japanese!
I enjoyed my time immensely in Toyama, and I travelled as much as time and funds would allow. I saw an awful lot of Japan, but there were so many scenic spots and interesting activities to do nearby that I never did get to do all of the things on my list.
Kids Activities Blog I would love nothing more than to go back again and explore my Japanese hometown with my children when they are older. To see my list of the top 10 things to do in Toyama, please hop over to Kids Activities Blog and find out more!
If you’re interested in Japanese culture, I’ve written a little about it:

Beautiful! Wow I have never been to an Asian country before and I really want to now. What a neat experience that must have been!

I’ve only been to Japan and China, and they are completely different. It would be interesting to visit more and learn the uniqueness of each.

I would love to go back…I dream of it! I’d love to see how Toyama is changing, and how other areas are the same. Tristan is already saving his pennies!

I have never visited Japan, but I do look like a Japanese. Seriously… People won’t believe that I am Indonesian. Japan is very famous with its technology, scenery, and culture. I wish I can visit Japan one day.

Japan is full of beautiful women, you’d fit right in! One of the may reasons I chose Japan was because the culture and and traditions are still deeply rooted in society. It’s unlike anywhere else I’ve been, and I’d go back in a flash if given the chance!

I love this. I am planning on taking my kids to my next trip to Panama. I’m starting to save right away so we will be able to go as soon as possible. Our trip this past week was so much fun! I want my kids to experience it as well.

You’ll have a splendid time in Panama! I’ve seen photos and heard stories from family friends who were there. Good luck saving, and please share your trip with us 🙂

I have taught many kids whose parents came to America for a couple of years due to their work. I loved the families, and would love to visit Japan one day.

I highly recommend Japan, and not just the big cities. In one school I taught a girl who had spent a year or two in the USA and had just returned. She was 5-the same age as my nephew at the time and she spoke English as well as he did. I remember our private lesson together on Christmas morning-priceless!
